Guys, you won't believe what I just discovered! I think I've found an Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE) exploit in Ocarina of Time for the SNES!
Here's how it works:
- Get to Hyrule Castle Town as child Link
- Talk to the running man exactly 64 times
- Play the Song of Storms backwards
- Quickly open and close the inventory 16 times
- Walk into the corner near the entrance to the Temple of Time
If done correctly, the game will glitch out and you'll see some weird graphical artifacts. But here's the crazy part: you can now input button combinations to execute arbitrary code!
I've managed to write a simple "Hello World" program using this method. Here's the code:
A, B, X, Y, L, R, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, START, SELECT
This will print "Hello World" in the top left corner of the screen!
I'm still experimenting with what else can be done. Has anyone else discovered this? The possibilities seem endless!
