About Brian's Brain

Brian's Brain is a cellular automaton devised by Brian Silverman, featuring three states for each cell. It creates beautiful, dynamic patterns reminiscent of neural activity or galactic formations.

Rules:

• A cell can be in one of three states: ON (blue), DYING (red), or OFF (black).
• An OFF cell becomes ON if it has exactly two ON neighbors.
• An ON cell always becomes DYING in the next generation.
• A DYING cell always becomes OFF in the next generation.

These simple rules lead to complex, self-organizing patterns that often resemble pulsating galaxies or neural networks.
